Bald Eagle Jackie in Critical Condition: Live Cam Fans Await Update

Beloved bald eagle Jackie, known worldwide for her daily window view from the Big Bear Eagle Nest Cam, has been diagnosed with anemia and is now in critical condition.

Jackie, along with her mate Shadow, has captivated millions of viewers across social media and the BBC feed for years, inspiring a global following and a tight-knit community of wildlife enthusiasts.

The young raptor is currently receiving intensive veterinary care at the Ojai Raptor Center in California. The team observed a recent improvement in her anemia, but her packed cell volume has fallen sharply to 13% from 17% earlier, signalling a precarious recovery.
