"Devastating" Evidence Presented Against Charlie Kirk Murder Suspect

The preliminary hearing in Utah County revealed a chain of evidence that prosecutors argue strongly points to 23‑year‑old Tyler Robinson as the killer of Republican activist Charlie Kirk. DNA matching Robinson to the rifle used, a text confession from Robinson to his former roommate, and surveillance footage of his movements around Utah Valley University were all presented.

Prosecutors mapped Robinson’s route from 4 a.m. to the university, showing him buying food, speaking with campus staff, and finally climbing the Losee Center rooftop to shoot Kirk from nearly 400 feet. The defense raised doubts about the admissibility of the DNA and ballistic reports, but the judge stated the evidence was “devastating.”

The case now waits for a decision on whether it proceeds to trial, with families and political figures watching closely.
